With the Justice Department reinstating firing squads, Americans are debating whether this is a necessary return to harsher penalties or a step back from humane practices.
I believe the idea of deterrence can be more effective rather than execution in such barbaric way as the critical actions taken by such squads can increase more hatred amongst the people rather than awareness of the legal complexities. Making people aware is way more better approach than executing them in order to build a society who is able to respect law and order. Such Terrible execution can fill them with fear but it cannot encourage to pursue the legal or crime free options
